Another WANTED:HERO groupie is born!

I am so very proud to announce the birth of my sweet daughter Carley.

Yes, this is #10 for those of you new to the site. However for you long-timers, she is considered “the miracle baby”. The labor was the longest ever, and Kathi had her first experiences with intense labor pain (she usually delivers in an hour or so from first contraction).

When the midwife inspected the placenta, she noticed that it had torn away from the wall 3 times during the pregnancy…yet reattached over and over again. Our little bundle of joy was determined to get here and be a part of our blessed family. I just stood there in shock as she explained what could have happened, what should have happened…but didn’t. It was yet another moment of proof that God exists, and loves His children.

I know I’m late in posting this—for Carley is now 3 months old (as of two Sunday’s ago – 3/23/08)–but I wanted to make sure you all knew what kind of miracle she actually was. Each morning she wakes, she will stretch, yawn, then look right at me and smile, followed by endless ‘cooing’ and squeaking–as if she was continuing a non-stop conversation she started the moment she was born. In fact, she has just developed her tickle spots…which happen to be, pretty much anywhere you touch! LOL

Kissing her cheeks and growling softly always gets her to beam with smiles.

Another offspring of Papa Bear…

I can never express what a joy or blessing it is to me, to be so fortunate as to marry the girl of my dreams, the love of my life and best friend…only to improve upon that perfection with so many dynamic, creative children. Life is so wonderful, and those of you who have children and love them, know exactly what I’m saying.

Life is so very good. =)
