BRIEF HISTORY of WANTED:HERO
THE OLD: The idea for Wanted Hero formed in 1990 by Jaime Buckley, a story is based on the adventures of a boy–Wendell P. Dipmier. Created for youth, he shared his ideas over the years until he was encouraged to develop it as a comic book series. In 2005 the first site went live and sold copies as digital downloads with a printed graphic novel at the end of each year. By the end of 2005, with no advertising, Wanted Hero had over 750,000 visitors and readers in 60+ countries. At the end of 2006, Jaime Buckley had old injuries resurface from a car accident, and was unable to make further comic books.

THE NEW: In 2009, Jaime’s oldest daughter convinced him to take the epic adventure and tell the whole story through novels instead. Taking his nearly 20 years of notes and ideas, Jaime worked with his wife, Kathilynn, and crafted Prelude to a Hero, the introduction to the epic adventure. Through a mutual friend, Jaime was introduced to NYTimes Best Selling Author David Farland and gave him the Prelude manuscript. Two days later, during a writers workshop, David Farland took both Jaime and Kathilynn to lunch and encouraged them to ‘make this a series. …a long series’.
On May 27th 2011 Prelude to a Hero was published by On The Fly Publications, with plans of the next novel to be released by the end of 2011. In creating the needed history for the series, a second book was released on September 21st 2011, called Demoni Vankil.
