Publishing Lies: Self-Publishing has no Value

Last time in Publishing Lies: the level playing field doesn’t exist, I talked about some important issues authors are facing. Things are not what they seem and the landscape is changing weekly. Personally, I’ve never considered myself in the same boat as traditional authors OR Indie authors (generally). With all the hype and finger pointing, I simply smile and brush the publishing lies aside. Here’s my perspective: Don’t believe publishing...

Publishing Lies: the level playing field doesn’t exist.

Intense way to start the day–writing about publishing lies, but it’s on my mind. I spend my early Friday mornings grinding wheat and watering a community garden, then it’s off to the office. To get closer to our goals and dreams and create that best selling fantasy series,...

Creating Fantasy Books For Kindle, part 3

In my last article, Creating Fantasy Books For Kindle, part 2–I talked about the publishing landscape, how it has broken down and the questions I was forced to ask myself. To create fantasy books for kindle, I had to define “publishing” for myself. There are many opposed to a writer being able to publish their own works without paying their dues or going through an established gate keeper. Personally, I can understand some of the concerns, but in my own...
