Donate $1 to Help Publish Wanted Hero
The finish line is in sight for the very first Wanted Hero Fiction Novel. A challenge which has tested the nerve, resolve and coffee making ability of Jaime Buckley and his ever-dutiful staff of literary Gnomes.
Now the story of Wendell, Chuck and Dax can finally be heard (ok, read) in it’s unaltered form, backed with 20 years of notes, sketches and underhanded sarcastic comments!
…that is, so long as we can get the thing printed.
As with the comics, this will be a self-published work. The goal is to have enough money to print the first book to sell and send out copies to key people in the industry in the hopes of gaining a commercial contract. The end goal, to be able to write full time. We have tried various courses to fund the project, including loans, grants, the G.R.R., even family and friends…yet nothing panned out. Not that people didn’t want to help, they simply have their own financial struggles. So we had a few fans offer a suggestion:
We would like to ask everyone who has read this story…who has been one of the 100,000+ people who downloaded the 12 free copies posted on this site (and other supporting sites out there)…or if you have ever had a dream you just couldn’t reach for no other reason than the lack of a little money…to donate $1.
Not $2, $5 or more…just a single dollar.
Sure, you can donate what you like, but we know times are tough and we certainly don’t want anyone to have to sacrifice. Anything will help at this stage and these funds will stay in the account until it’s time to publish. Maybe over the next few months we can work together and acquire enough to get the first novel printed. Our goal is to publish the first novel in May 2010. If you haven’t read any of the comics yet, they are still 100% free on this website. Take a look and see if this would be a project worthy of a dollar.
