After the Great Sundering the world rejoiced, for there were many who loved the light and desired to live by the principles of truth and love. The dark races had been isolated by the great seas and peace abounded for a time throughout the world.
Languages were developed, cultures nurtured as new life sprang forth and blossomed across continents. Clans soon became nations, establishing themselves after the names of those leaders who had given their lives in service to protect their people. The Iskari, Evolu, Kutollum, Nocturi, as well as the Humar, the Gentré, Undello and Getti.
Across the seas the darker races also flourished, multiplying in number and hatred. The Vallen, Therrin, the Tauku and Ballaum.
Each race sought to improve the situation of their own kind, while some made plans to wage war once again.
The greatest land was that of Humar, named after the bravest of all the races, gifted to the ‘Humans’ by Ithari herself. Young and short lived, but teeming with vitality–the people spread across the land building farms and establishing colonies, extending friendship and brotherhood to the Iskari and Gentré peoples, sharing their abundance of resources. In due time, the Humans established a King and ventured out across the waters looking to re-establish relations with their lost brothers.
The Getti became solemn in their desert lands and sought to maintain their solitude, while the Nocturi, isolated furthest from any race, turned their attention to the waters which surrounded them, being the first to master any lore–that of water. To the southwest, the Evolu flourished upon the tropical islands of Äsä-Illariu, with the charge to watch over the lives of the smallest of all races–the Undello, who lived deep within he wild lands of Elämäkäs.
During these times of prosperity, the Hero of the Gem revealed further knowledge granted by the Ithari: Gate Lore.
Prime Gates were established among the races of light, allowing instant travel between their lands, opening communion, trade and unions in marriage to strengthen ties.
It seemed that peace would reign forever…
