Hullo there! I'm David, the friendly neighbourhood Hebridean, but you might know me as Mango! Growing up with my father being a writer of both comics and novels, I have been worldbuilding for years now (though honestly only being fully proud of more recent things). Terralba used to be my pet project, going through countless iterations from 2012 until 2019. I joined World Anvil in 2018, using it as a place to digitally compile my worldbuilding of Terralba. However, over 2019 and into 2020 I struggled to find time to write and dropped off the face of the worldbuilding earth. Now, I come back finding time in between work, university and D&D sessions to flesh out my new setting close to my wee Scottish heart; Destiny. Please, sit back with a hot beverage of your choice, enjoy my musings, and contact me on Reddit (u/2ThiccCoats) or Discord (Mango) if you want to chat worldbuilding! And apparently I now have a Ko-Fi so if you wish for me to share in your choice of hot beverage I will be most grateful! WorldEmber 2020
Photography, travelling, and snuggling into my cats. Or out at the family croft admiring the scenery and tending to the flock of sheep. That all is, however, when I prise myself out of my studies ;-)
Too many to count when you have a film student flat mate! Anything from Outlaw King (2018) to Alien (1979), Memento (2001) to It's a Wonderful Life (1947)!
Anything in the Filioni-verse for sure. Give me Clone Wars and Mandalorian any day and I will lap it up.
I grew up on a mix of Black Library, Tolkein and Marcus Sedgewick. Usually when I get a chance to read outside of law textbooks these days it's my dad's novels!
Graham Greene, JRR Tolkein, Iain Banks, Dan Abnett
Skyrim, Shadow of Mordor, Modern Warfare (OG series), and I'm partial to a spot of Solitaire and Minesweeper.
