Chime Time

Chime Time, or CT for short, is the measurement of time used by the Gentre who live in Clockworks City. While the rest of the world goes by 'Sundering' time, or 's' after the years date, Chime Time preceeds the date with capital letters and a dash (i.e. CT-246).   Chime Time commenced in 6003s -- marked by the mass exodus from the shores of Humär. A date of horror in gnome history, who fled Mahan's horde to prevent their extinction. Tens of thousands threw their bodies into the great ocean, others crafting makeshift rafts, not knowing where the winds would take them.   The people vowed to create a new life, civilization, and culture, isolated from the rest of the world forever.   The way one can coordinate dates with the rest of the world is to take Chime Time and subtract 6003 years from the Sundering date.   Sundering = 6738s
Chime Time = CT-2735
